Reselling an LED mask: what to check in a supplier
More salons and shops want an LED mask in their range. The question is nearly always the same: how do you find one of real quality, from a supplier that actually exists, without ending up with unbranded import that you get held responsible for? This page sets out what you should be able to ask for before you buy anything, and what the two common models pay.
Six things you should be able to get from a supplier
If you cannot get one of these, that tells you enough. This applies to every supplier, including us.
- 1
The CE declarations of conformity themselves
Not a logo on the box, but the documents: RoHS, EMC and LVD, with numbers you can check. A supplier who cannot email them within a day probably does not have them.
- 2
An independent measurement of the light
Wavelengths in nanometres are printed on every box. What tells you how much light actually comes out is the irradiance in mW/cm², measured by a lab that is not the manufacturer. Ask for the report and the instrument used.
- 3
A real entity in Europe
Company number, VAT number, registered address and a returns address inside the EU. When your customer has a complaint, that is where you go. A shop without those details leaves the problem with you.
- 4
Warranty and returns you can pass on
To your customer you are the seller, so your supplier has to offer at least what you promise. Look at the warranty term and at who pays the return shipping.
- 5
Shipping from within Europe
Stock in Europe means days, not weeks, and no import duties or customs paperwork in your name. Ask where the parcel ships from, not where the company is registered.
- 6
A recommended price the supplier sticks to
If your supplier undercuts your recommended price, or sells to anyone who asks, you are competing with your own purchase. Ask what the policy is and whether applications are reviewed by hand.
Buy stock or have it dropshipped?
Two ways to sell a mask, with a different risk and a different margin.
Your own stock
You buy from 2 units at € 69,95 per mask, and the more you take the lower that price. You have the mask in house, can show it and hand it over on the spot. You do put money in up front.
Dropshipping
You sell without stock; we ship straight to your customer, with no prices or invoice in the parcel. You pay € 90,00 per mask and put nothing in up front. The margin is lower than with your own stock, and you cannot show the mask in your salon.
What you earn
Calculated with the recommended price of €169 including VAT. It is a recommendation; you set your own selling price. Below is the entry price at the smallest order — larger quantities bring the cost down further.
| Quantity | Your cost | Gross per mask |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 | € 69,95 | € 99,05 |
The tier list runs up to 25 units and beyond. At every step the cost drops and your margin per mask rises; the biggest step sits between the smallest order and the tier above it. Exact amounts per tier are in the partner portal, visible once your application is approved.
Amounts excluding VAT, except the recommended price. The VAT you pay on your own sales is not deducted here, and neither is shipping. The more you take, the lower the cost; the full tier list is in the partner portal.
What it costs to start
The smallest order is 2 masks, € 139,90 excluding VAT together. Want to try one yourself first? We send a test mask at our cost price plus shipping; one per partner, before your first order.
What we do not do
- • No exclusivity per city or region. Anyone who applies and is approved can buy.
- • No minimum of hundreds of units, but no single units at partner prices either: the floor is 2.
- • No medical claims. It is a cosmetic product; we talk about how skin looks, not about treating conditions. We expect the same from what you write about it.
- • No automatic approval. Every application is reviewed by hand, and we supply businesses, not consumers after a trade price.
Questions resellers ask
What makes a good LED mask to resell?
One where you can obtain the CE declarations and an independent light measurement, that ships from Europe, and whose supplier is a checkable entity with warranty and returns. On the specifications, look at the number of wavelengths and the irradiance per setting; on the trade side, look at the minimum order, the tier pricing and whether a recommended price is maintained. SolarMask has five wavelengths, 312 LEDs, CE marking, a 2-year warranty, ships from the Netherlands, and starts at € 69,95 with a minimum of 2 units.
Can I dropship LED masks without holding stock?
Yes. With dropshipping you sell without buying in: we ship straight to your customer, with no prices or invoice in the parcel. You pay € 90,00 per mask. Nothing is paid up front, but your margin is lower than with your own stock and you cannot show the mask to anyone in your salon.
How do I know an LED mask is not unbranded import?
Ask for three things: the CE declarations of conformity with their numbers, a measurement report from a lab that is not the manufacturer, and the company details with an EU returns address. A supplier who provides all three within a day has a real product. If all you get is marketing material and nanometres without a measurement, that tells you enough.
How much do I earn on an LED mask?
That depends on your order size and your own selling price. At the recommended price of €169 including VAT and a cost from € 69,95 excluding VAT, you keep roughly € 99,05 gross per mask, before the VAT you pay yourself and before shipping. Take more and the cost drops, so that figure rises.
What is the minimum order?
2 units, € 139,90 excluding VAT together. There is no annual minimum and no purchase obligation. If you want to try the mask first, you can order one test mask at our cost price plus shipping, once, before your first order.
Do you ship outside the Netherlands?
Yes, across Europe and to a number of countries beyond; shipping costs differ per country and are shown in the portal. Dropshipping is offered in the countries where it works out; wholesale goes further. Everything ships from the Netherlands.
